Experience "Family Days" at Birch Aquarium at Scripps
Scripps Institution of Oceanography/UCSD
Family Days is Birch Aquarium's monthly program that embraces family
learning and togetherness by blending arts and crafts, science,
special tours and one-of-a-kind activities all ages will enjoy.
Programs are included with aquarium admission and are ongoing from 11
a.m. to 3 p.m. Join us for three springtime, dynamic opportunities to
explore the ocean world.
Earth Rocks!
Saturday, March 18
Uncover the latest about ocean geology, marine rocks, and how the
earth shakes, rattles, and rolls. Learn how the earth's surface layer
is moving right under your feet during this Family Day program that
merges ocean science with art and fun.
Spring EGGStravaganza
Saturday, April 15
This Saturday family event kicks-off a week-long celebration of
marine animals and their fascinating eggs. Aquarium visitors are
invited to participate in scavenger hunts for prize-filled eggs.
Marine Slugs: Beautiful or Dangerous?!
Saturday, May 20
Feeling sluggish may not be such a bad thing after all. Get slimed as
you learn about beautiful and dangerous marine slugs and their
amazing relatives.
Family Days events are included with paid aquarium admission: adults,
$11; seniors (60+), $9; youth (3-17), $7.50. The Birch Aquarium is
located at 2300 Expedition Way in La Jolla.
