was established to fulfill the Pet Care Trust Mission. All grant awards are given to benefit the health and welfare of companion animals, to encourage positive human-animal interaction and to provide information to the public and to pet industry members.

The Pet Care Trust Grant Program is open to all registered non-profit organizations and

universities with a specific interest in companion animals. If your organization would like to submit an application for a Pet Care Trust Grant, please send your organization's Name, Contact Person, Address, telephone/fax/email to the following:

Your organization's name will be included in the database and you will be contacted once each year with a request for application submission.

Pet Care Trust Annual Grants' Cycle Format:
The Pet Care Trust Companion Animal Grants Program has been suspended by the Board of Trustee for the year 2004. At this time, the Pet Care Trust cannot anticipate the resumption of the grants program. If you would like to listed in the grants data base, please email your name, organization and email address and it will be kept. You will be notified when the grants program will resume.
Criteria for Pet Care Trust Grant Application:
- Programs must be designed to provide outcomes or conclusions which will benefit companion animal health and/or welfare, will engender owner understanding of the care for pets, will create a greater understanding of the benefits of pet ownership and will promote professionalism among members of the companion animal community.
- Grant monies cannot be used for institutional overhead or operations expense.
- Grant monies for research and special projects are provided to not-for-profit organizations and conducted by the same organization.
- Grant recipients are accountable for programs' completion, midterm and final reports and for budget reporting and reconciliation.
- Grant monies are not intended for construction projects or for the purchase of equipment, unless the equipment is integral to the funded program.
- Programs with co-funding or other contributions are preferred.
- The Pet Care Trust is dedicated to the mission of promoting public understanding of the value and right to enjoy happy and healthy companion animals. In an effort to educate the public and the companion animal community, the results of the Pet Care Trust funded projects and programs will be submitted to pet industry trade magazines, pet organization newsletters and related journals. Grant recipients are expected to provide mid-term and final project reports and budget reconciliation reports.
- All program application requests, pre-proposal applications, full proposal applications, PCT agreements, reports and correspondence must be sent to the Program Coordinator in a timely fashion addressed to the Quilcene, WA address.
