JAPANESE KOI
Japanese koi, the front runner of outdoor ornamental pond and water garden fishes.
Japanese koi come in 19 basic types with many color variations and scale patterns. Japanese koi grow to 40" in length and typically live to 60 years in properly maintained ponds. Some koi have been reported to live in excess of 200 years!
They are the most colorful and active fIshes to have and watch, for the outdoors. Smaller Koi can be kept in aquariums satisfactorily.
River City handles all varieties and sizes. We offer Japanese-, American-, Chinese-, Israeli- and Indonesian-raised koi. We also breed some of the koi we sell.
Koi are winter hardy, if water depth is sufficient and proper aeration is maintained.
