CoralRealm   We have a new web site that may be of interest to your visitors.
The web site that just opened that is all about coral reef marine life. The web site features detailed species accounts of more than 1000 reef fish, sharks & rays. All of the information is in a searchable database.
Species descriptions can be retrieved by common name, science name or family name. Each species account includes quality underwater photos and information on distribution, habitat, feed, reproduction and more. The web site also includes travel logs and a shark and reef fish "lab".
Since CoralRealm doesn't have any banner ads and doesn't accept paid advertising, a minimal membership is requested to fully access some of the content and to help support the extensive databases.
CoralRealm has a volunteer advisory board that includes some of the world's best know marine life scientists, writers and underwater photographers including Dr. Jack Randall, Dr. Gerald Allen, Roger Steene, Fred Bavendam, Dr. Richard Pyle, John Hoover, Scott Michael and others.

AquaPlant The AquaPlant site is a Web search engine for aquarium plants. The AquaPlant engine currently indexes 35 sites, and the index contains more than 5800 references to more than 2000 different plants (species, variants, trade forms, etc.), more than 1100 of these are known to be used in the aquarium hobby; the remaining 900 plants are known to be used in the garden pond or the terrarium, but many of these are often talked about in the aquarium hobby as well. The index has links to more than 3400 pictures of more than 1300 different plants.
Although the quality of the references of course is varying, this is an amazing amount of information! I do not believe that so much information about aquarium plants have been collected anywhere else. You can read a little more about the AquaPlant site at: http://www.AquaPlant.org?help=home

Sincerely,
Jesper Lauritsen

Fish Olympics "I've been working on a website introducing kids to fish that I thought you may consider adding to your website's links. It's called Fish Olympics (www.liverpoolmuseums.org.uk/nof/fish/) and its being well received by people so far. You can test your fishy knowledge in the Cross Country Camouflage, Long Distance Breed, Eating Event and 100 metre swim! Fish and marinelife are by no means an area of expertise for myself so I would love to receive any feedback from experts such as yourselves.
Thanks for your time,
Billy"
